QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were Portuguese Holstein cattle. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using either the GeneSeek Genomic Profiler, Illumina Bovine SNP50 v1 or v2, or Affymetrix Ax58K panel, with all data imputed to SNP50 v2, and analyzed for milk production traits in the first three lactations. A total of 38,323 autosomal SNPs were used for analysis. |
Analysis: | The AR model for multiple lactations was used in GEBV prediction simultaneously in the weighted single-step GWAS for milk, fat, and protein yield, and somatic cell score. |
Software: | FImpute 2.2 |
