Date: Tue, 20 Aug 2024 14:30:31 -0500
Hello Animal Genome Community,

We are seeking a talented postdoctoral research fellow in fish functional
genomics and epigenetics to join us at the USDA-ARS Aquatic Animal Health
Research Unit in Auburn, AL USA. The ideal candidate will have experience
and expertise in bioinformatics, with an emphasis on the use of machine
learning approaches to study biological processes.

Our group has a diverse list of multi-omics projects for which the candidate
may participate. Major project areas include the functional genomics of fish
health (host-pathogen interactions; nutrition; reproduction), which has
encompassed gene expression/co-expression/network analyses, building of
bioinformatics/AI/ML resources, immunogenomics, single cell RNA sequencing
and immune repertoire characterization, gene editing, and reproductive
epigenetics. In addition to advanced computational methodology, this
fellowship may include training in the field, the fish lab, and the bench
to answer research questions, resulting in a well-rounded functional
genomics experience.

Compensation and benefits are highly competitive. Applications are being
accepted now. Position is open to both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals.
Please find detailed position description and application information at
https://www.zintellect.com/...-2024-0285 .
Informal inquiries are welcome and can be directed to Dr. Jason Abernathy
(Jason.Abernathy(at)usda.gov).
